Here is my copycat recipe for the delicious Magnolia Bakery red velvet cupcakes. My mom clipped the recipe from a newspaper a while back, and there’s no better recipe. These cupcakes are so perfect. They’re light and fluffy, yet so moist. And even better, they’re so simple to make! I hope you give them a try!
These cupcakes use my chocolate cupcake recipe from my Peanut Butter Lover’s Chocolate Cupcake recipe combined with my Oreo crumb buttercream frosting. They are so moist and rich which perfectly complements the delicious and fluffy Oreo crumb frosting!
On top of being the perfect road trip snack, this homemade Chex Mix is also the best study snack! The Chex and add-ins get this light and buttery crunch after baking that takes this Chex Mix to a whole new level. It is also so customizable, you can add or remove anything you like or don’t like. Give it a try!
I do have to admit that Irish Soda Bread is a year-round bread for me, I just love it so much! Growing up, my mom used to get Irish Soda Bread from a bunch of different places near our house for St. Patty’s. I’ve always been super picky with my Irish Soda Breads. After years of trying to create the perfect recipe, I have finally got it down, and it finally satisfies all the criteria I have for the perfect Irish Soda Bread. It is flavorful, moist, hearty, and has an amazing sweet crunch to the crust. Give this recipe a try!
I am so happy to share my grandma’s steamed dumpling, or Fun Gor 粉果, recipe to celebrate the new year! My grandma has been making these dumplings for decades. It is made with a thick wheat starch skin that becomes translucent after steaming, and it has a pork-based filling. These dumplings are made in large batches, perfect for a quick couple of meals. I hope you give this recipe a try!
This is the best lava cake recipe I have ever made, better than any you could get from a restaurant! It is so rich in chocolate with a sweet and gooey center that just melts in your mouth. It is the perfect dessert for any day, especially Valentine’s Day! Check out the recipe!
Babkas are an Eastern European Jewish Bread/Cake that is made from a buttery and eggy dough, and is traditionally filled with cinnamon or jam. Inspired by posts I have seen on Instagram and on the Great British Bake Off, the chocolate lover in me decided to make the chocolate version. Give this delicious bread a try!
Although chocolate chip cookies are the most basic cookie, a good recipe is so hard to find. I was so excited to give this New York Times recipe from Jacques Torres a try! I like my chocolate chip cookies crunchy on the edges and gooey and slightly cakey in the center with a strong chocolatey flavor throughout the whole cookie. These cookies check off all the boxes! The edges have a nice, crunchy caramelized exterior with a sweet, buttery, and chocolaetey center that melts in your mouth. I hope you give this recipe a try!
These cookies are definitely for the Coconut lovers, and they are super easy to make. I like to add a little bit of cake flour to my cookies, which is not necessarily traditional. I like to add the cake flour because it makes the cookies a little more tender and soft. I also like to dip my macaroons in chocolate because, in this house, we love chocolate!
